Who are you?

My name is Leonora Knight. I am an NYU School of The Arts graduate with a BFA in acting, a professional singer/keyboard player, private voice and piano teacher, Radiant Child and Kundalini Yoga teacher, mother, and wife.

More about me here.

I’m a teacher/parent/librarian and want you at my school/library. What do I do?

Live, Virtual and Pre-recorded shows are available through the NYC Dept of Ed (active vendor), Nassau, Westchester, and Eastern Suffolk BOCES, Suffolk and Nassau County PTA database, NY State Library Database, or I can be contacted directly.

Usually, I receive a phone call at (631) 858-0980 (home) or (631) 223-5781 (cell), or an email at leeknight814@gmail.com to check for dates and discuss details.

After we talk, I’ll send you an INFO Sheet summarizing everything. BOCES and libraries send me a contract, which I sign and return.

How are your Yoga Stories different than regular yoga in the classroom?

Yoga Stories come from Radiant Child Yoga and include asanas, flows, breathwork, and meditation. We weave these into fun stories that hold kids’ attention. Music, Brain Gym, and Mindfulness techniques help relieve anxiety and build strength and focus.

How long is each show?

Live Virtual shows are 45–55 minutes with interaction and Q&A. Pre-recorded shows run about 30 minutes. I’m happy to adjust based on your school or event schedule.

How long have you been doing this?

I’ve done musical storytime at Borders Books & Music, and wrote songs for storytime at The Heckscher Museum of Art.

In 2004, I created “Lee Knight’s Interactive Concerts,” a 45-minute theatrical program for schools and libraries. In 2020, I began offering virtual and pre-recorded shows.

Are you insured?

Yes, I’m fully insured and incorporated as both a performer and yoga teacher.

Why do you do this?

I’m excited to offer Virtual and Pre-Recorded programs, especially since 2020. I merged my performing arts training from NYU with a passion for children’s education and the arts.

Music helps bring books to life, and I’m lucky to share that joy with children everywhere.

What is your mission statement?

Guiding children into their personal power of creativity through the performing arts.
